Amazing! This has been open for over 35 years. To owner is the cook and she is fabulous. The portions are generous and delicious. It has a home style atmosphere and friendly service. It is one of the best places for sea food.

This is my third stay here. I found it on a bike trip a few years back and the food and pricing always bring me back. The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. We arrived last night not ready to eat, but with the kitchen soon to close. Our hostess prepared plates of delicious lasagna, salad and garlic for us to microwave later. The service us exemplary. We highly recommend this motel and restaurant to any travellers, especially those vacationing on a budget. See you again soon!

My wife and I eat here regularly because it is clean, friendly, great food, generous portions and very reasonably priced. They earn our business. It is a 'go to' place for locals.

Don't let the looks fool you, this is a very nice motel, extra large rooms, clean, and quiet. The folks who run this and the restaurant r wonderful people, and treat you like family. Thank you all, from the Texans. Hope to see you again someday.

Best value for your dollar anywhere on the South Shore. $60/night for 3 nights. Huge room completely renovated. Pet Friendly. Beds are as good as any high end hotel I've stayed in. Staff is so friendly you'll want to move to town. Restaurant is all home cooked food. Top quality and priced so a family can afford it. I suggest the folks of the local area start supporting a long time business. It's one of the best around.

Well here is my review for the Transcotia Motel. Im a hometown girl who came home for a visit and the staff and owner of the transcotia have been very plesant and accommodating to us and our beloved Dog. The rooms are clean, kitchen staff is great. The food is wonderful, we never had to wait long for our meals. Joann in housekeeping is a pleasure to chat with and keeps all the rooms spotless. Dorinda the owner is a wonderful and friendly. Unlike the best western and lanes, everything here is affordable. So to rate this motel on our own scale, location 100 stars, food 100 stars, staff 100 plus stars, rooms 100
